I'm a UX/HCI researcher and interactive media artist with a Ph.D. from U.C. Berkeley and a decade of research and design experience.

My research experience has given me a practical knowledge of how to choose the right method for a given research problem, as well as how to identify hidden problems. It has also given me an ability to efficiently analyze behavior in order to refine systems design and gain insight into human relationships.

Research Methods:

  • ethnographic fieldwork

  • a variety of interview techniques

  • research study design

  • requirements elicitation

  • quantitative lab testing

  • qualitative usability testing

  • decipher the unwritten rules of a given population and put these to work in design

  • engage and understand hidden or otherwise inaccessible populations
